Communities in Schools of Puyallup

Communities In Schools of Puyallup (“CISP”) provides academic and non-academic services to empower all students to reach their full potential. CISP’s team of caring site coordinators helps students achieve academic, attendance, and behavior goals, while offering access to basic needs, like clothing, food, and school supplies. By partnering with the community, these resources are available to students within the school building.

Episcopal Relief and Development

Episcopal Relief and Development (“ERD”) is a ministry of the Episcopal Church. They facilitate healthier, more fulfilling lives in communities struggling with hunger, poverty, disaster and disease.

New Hope Resource Center

New Hope Resource Center is a welcoming place for homeless adults, where all guests are treated with respect, and are connected with resources to help them out of homelessness.

The Center is open year-round to provide refuge and support to homeless guests.

Puyallup Food Bank

The Puyallup Food Bank (“PFB”) meets the urgent needs of many in east Pierce County, believing food is the first step on the journey to a more hopeful future. PFB strives to provide food to those in need with dignity and to utilize food surpluses eliminating waste.

Seattle Mission to Seafarers

The mission of the Seattle Mission to Seafarers (“SMTS”) is to welcome and care for seafarers who visit Puget Sound. They provide that care through ship visits and transportation, connecting crews with vaccine providers in Puget Sound (e.g., Discovery Health), and offering communication tools (SIM cards) and other basic necessities (e.g., shopping) for seafarers.

St. Francis House

St. Francis House is a center of compassionate presence and service that offers hope and eases the hardships of those in need in East Pierce County. SFH chooses to serve those in need in the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi by reaching out to the poor, the oppressed, and the immigrant. All services are provided free of charge.
